Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR)

The Texas Academic Performance Report is generated by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and provides a wide range of information on the performance of students in each school and district in Texas every year. Performance is shown disaggregated by student groups, including ethnicity and socioeconomic status. The reports provide extensive information on school and district staff, programs, and student demographics. The TAPR was previously known as the Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) Reports. Those reports were published from 2003-04 to 2011-12. They may be found at the AEIS Archive
Texas provides annual academic accountability ratings to its public school districts, charters, and schools. The ratings are based on performance on state standardized tests; graduation rates; and college, career, and military readiness outcomes. The ratings examine student achievement, school progress, and whether districts and campuses are closing achievement gaps among various student groups.
