District Advisory Council
District of Innovation Plan (Amended September 8, 2025)
Each year, Columbus ISD convenes its District Advisory Council (DAC) to begin the district’s annual planning cycle. The committee serves in an advisory role to the Superintendent on matters related to district operations, including planning, staffing, curriculum and instruction, and the effective use of resources.
The DAC is composed of elected teaching and non-teaching professionals from each campus, district staff, parents, community members, and business representatives.
As part of its ongoing work, the committee reviewed and amended the District of Innovation Plan. The amended plan was adopted by the District Advisory Council and subsequently approved by the Columbus ISD Board of Trustees on September 8, 2025.
The current plan is posted below.
