Howdy!  My name is Sarah Wanjura.  This year marks my twelfth year with Columbus ISD.  I am in my second year as the Director of Special Education, and was an Educational Diagnostician for the district for the previous ten years.  I receive referrals, implement the evaluation process, collect and organize educational data, and coordinate the ARD Committee to interpret data and develop the Individual Educational Plan for students.  I thoroughly enjoy working with parents, teachers, administrators, and other district personnel.    

 

 

I received a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Houston-Victoria, and a Specialist in School Psychology Degree from the University of Houston-Victoria.  I am also a  Licensed Specialist in School Psychology.
