School Cancelled for the Week

School Closed

Columbus ISD has cancelled school, including activities, for this week, August 28, 2017 to September 1, 2017, due to the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. All activities will resume their regular schedule on September 5, 2017. Please be safe and do not take any unnecessary risks.

Columbus ISD ha cancelado la escuela, incluyendo actividades, para esta semana, 28 de agosto de 2017 al 1 de septiembre de 2017, debido a las secuelas del huracán Harvey. Todas las actividades reanudarán su horario regular el 5 de septiembre de 2017. Por favor, sea seguro y no tome riesgos innecesarios.

School Closure on Monday (8/28/17)

School Closed

Columbus ISD will be closed on Monday, August 28, 2017. The regularly scheduled CISD Board Meeting will still take place at 6pm in the Board Room. We are actively monitoring the river and creeks in our area. Please be safe!

Early Release Planned In Lieu of Hurricane Harvey

Columbus ISD will have a two-hour early dismissal on Friday, August 25, 2017. The district is monitoring the weather and traffic and will make a decision by 5pm Sunday evening for Monday. By being proactive in this matter, we are doing our best to ensure safer travel for our students, parents, and staff. Stay tuned to 98.3 KULM FM,, the CISD Facebook page, the CISD twitter feed, School Messenger notifications, or text @coderedisd to 81010 for updates. Release times are as follows:
CHS at 1:00 pm
CES and CJHS-RC at 1:20 pm

El distrito está monitoreando el tiempo y el tráfico y tomará una decisión para el domingo por la noche a las 5 pm del lunes. What is the CISD policy on bullying?
The district prohibits bullying on school property, at school-sponsored or school-     
related activities, or in any vehicle operated by the district.  Bullying may be     
verbal or written expression or expression through electronic means, or physical     
conduct.  Bullying is not tolerated by the district and any student or parent of a     
student who believes that the student or another student has experienced     
bullying or that a student has engaged in bullying is encouraged to immediately     
report the incident.  Retaliation against anyone involved in the complaint process     
is a violation of district policy and is prohibited.     
Students or parents may report an alleged incident of bullying, orally or in writing,     
to a teacher, counselor, principal or other district employee.  Students or parents     
may contact the district to obtain an incident report form that may be used to     
submit the complaint.     
Please note that after submission of the complaint to the district employee, the     
district may assign the complaint to a campus administrator to follow up on the     
submitted complaint and any other important matters pertaining to the     
complaint.  We encourage you to communicate with your designated campus     
administrator during this time.
