Superintendent's Advisory Committee

Superintendent Randy Hoyer is looking for individuals interested in serving on the Superintendent’s Advisory Committee.   The committee addresses culturally relevant issues and concerns that may arise within the Columbus ISD and serves as a proactive body by providing recommendations to the superintendent.  The committee’s membership reflects the ethnic diversity of our school and community and consists of both adults and students.  If you are interested in serving on this committee, please call Randy Hoyer at (979)732-5704.  The next Superintendent’s Advisory Committee meeting is May 15, 2008 at 7:00 pm in the Board Meeting Room at Columbus High School.

School Security

In an ongoing effort to increase security and provide safe schools for our students and staff, parents and visitors to the Columbus Independent School District campuses will be required to report to the campus office and also to provide a picture ID when they sign in at the front office.  The picture ID will remain with the office staff at which time the parent/visitor will be issued a visitor’s ID badge.  At the conclusion of the visit, the picture ID will be returned to the parent/visitor after returning the visitor’s ID badge to the front office.
