Enrollment/Registration

Registration is now open for the 2023-2024 School Year!
 
If you are new to Columbus ISD, please visit the campus where your student will enroll and meet with an enrollment specialist.
 
If you are a returning student to Columbus ISD, please check your email for a message with the subject line of "Family Access Account Information". Use this link to complete the setup of your Family Access Account. Then login and complete the 2023-2024 Returning CISD Student Registration form for each student. More information on how to navigate your Family Access Portal can be found on our Skyward Family Access Support page.
 
READ THIS FIRST: If your student is attending Columbus Junior High School, Columbus Elementary School or Columbus Alternative School, click "No" on Step 9 (Device Insurance) of the 2023-2024 Returning Student Registration Form. If your student is attending Columbus High School, choose "Yes" or "No" depending if you would like to opt in on the device insurance program.

Required Documents for Student Registration

  • Government Issued Photo ID (Parent/Guardian enrolling child that lives in CISD)
  • Child's Official Certified Birth Certificate or Passport
  • Proof of Residency (Current July/August electric/cable/water bill with service address or voter registration card showing current address)
  • Current Immunization Records
  • Report Card (from previous school) 
  • Withdrawal Form (from previous school)

Parents, check your email for a message regarding
Columbus ISD registration with the subject line of
“Family Access Account Information”. 
 
Parents, if you are missing a returning child in your current Family Access account please DO NOT create another Family Access account.  Instead, contact the child’s campus registrar so your child can be added to your existing Family Access Account.  Thanks for your help as we begin the new school year.
 

 

*New Student Enrollment for Grades PK-12 begins on July 24, 2023. Please see your child's campus for enrollment packet. 
 
*If you reside outside of Columbus ISD, you are required to fill out a Student Transfer Packet.  The packet must be reviewed and approved by both the campus principal and the Superintendent. 
 
*If you live in someone else's home and the bills are in their name, the parent will need a Proof of Residency Affidavit. 
 
*If you have a child living in your home that is not biologically yours or you do not have court appointed papers stating that you are the legal guardian, you will need to fill out a Voluntary Caregiver Authorization Agreement
