StuCo Participates in Annual Trash Off Day

CES students met with the Garden Club's Recycled Tin Man for participation in Columbus' Trash Off Day. Members of CES Student Council participated by handing out water to people recycling in Columbus during this annual event. The "Tin Man" highlights the Columbus Garden Club's tremendous service efforts to encourage others to help keep Columbus clean.

Dear Parents and Students,
As the new Principal of Columbus Elementary School, it has been my sincere pleasure to become a member of this great school and community. I am truly honored to hold this position and I am looking forward to working with a dedicated staff to establish a strong foundation for our students and ensure academic success for all.
Before coming to Columbus ISD, my professional career was entirely with the Wharton Independent School District system for nineteen years. I held the positions of paraprofessional, teacher, bus driver, coach, Assistant Principal and Principal. It is my belief, parents and staff who work together each day, will create a productive citizen.
My goal is to provide the leadership that will produce a school environment which provides differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all students. The educational program must be challenging, exciting, and engaging. Parents, teachers, support staff, and administration all have an important role to encourage our children to become active learners in an ever changing society.
We invite you to become involved with us here at Columbus Elementary. We sincerely believe that educating students is a team effort and we want it to be a positive experience.
Please feel free to contact me as needed at 979-732-2078.
