This is my third year teaching at Columbus Elementary School. While I am not a native of the area, I love being a Columbus Cardinal. My husband and I have been in Columbus for five years. We have one daughter who is a proud Cardinal and CES student.

I was born in Austin, then later moved to Brenham. I graduated from Brenham High School and continued my education at Blinn College and then Texas A&M University in College Station. WHOOP!

I graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism.

I have worked as a reporter and managing editor for several publications and have had numerous freelance articles published. After working in the journalism field, I decided that I wanted to share my love for reading, writing and history with others. I went back to school and got my teaching certification for ELA/SS/Generalist, grades 4-8. I enjoy working with children and seeing them be successful. I want to make a positive difference in your child's life.

I am looking forward to teaching your child about the United States. I love our country, its people and its rich history. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, riding horses, reading and scrapbooking.
