FCCLA: Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is a nonprofit national student organization for young men and women in public and private school through grade 12. FCCLA is a dynamic and effective national student organization and helps young men and women become leaders and address important personal, family, work and societal issues through family and consumer sciences education. Involvement in FCCLA offers members the opportunity to expand their leadership potential and develop skills for life planning, goal setting, problem solving, decision-making and interpersonal communication - necessary in the home and work place. TAFE:  Texas Association of Future Educators - A group of students who are interested in pursuing the teaching profession. TAFE strives to promote excellence and leadership in all students who aspire to the high calling of teaching. Sponsor:

FFA: Future Farmers of America - This organization is a part of the agricultural science program. Students are able to exhibit their livestock projects, attend judging contests, and attend leadership contests along with many more activities. There are also many scholarships through the FFA. The FFA offers many opportunities that are exciting and provide a great learning experience. Sponsors: Kevin Page and Wendy Page

H.O.S.A.: Health Occupation Students of America - HOSA is a national Career & Technology Student Organization, which provides a unique program of leadership development, motivation, competition and recognition for students interested in a healthcare career. Sponsor: Darcy Kiecke

Spanish Club: Spanish Club is a group that meets to learn about the Spanish culture and language. Sponsor: Jimmi Kasper

National Honor Society: The society is a national organization that recognizes scholarship on the highest level. It is open to juniors and seniors who must meet very strict guidelines. The purpose of the group is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students of the secondary schools. Student Council: The CHS Student Council is an active organization that serves as the voice for the student body while coordinating school wide events and projects. The organization strives to cultivate leadership, enhance school spirit, and catalyze student involvement and social skills.  Sponsor: Amy Russell

Yearbook "The Cardinal": This class produces a yearly publication in which students write stories and captions, take pictures, and sell ads. The publication represents a history of the entire school year. Sponsor: Michelle Michalka

SADD: Students Against Destructive Decisions is an organization whose goal is to empower young people, through education and support, to make good and safe decisions for their life. It is inclusive in nature of membership, not exclusive. The SADD concept of power begins with the philosophy whereby we must recognize the problem first, then seek a solution through education. Sponsor: Tami Lewis

Speech/Drama Club: This organization introduces and exposes students to various fields of speaking, give students an opportunity to express their theatrical talents, builds an appreciation for effective communication, and supports Columbus and the surrounding area through community service and public performance. Ultimately, it helps promote and ensure the high quality of communication skills necessary to function successfully in everyday life. Sponsor:
