School Clubs and Activities

5th Grade Leaders: 5th grade students have the opportunity to demonstrate leadership by helping on campus in a variety of settings. These include: reading to other students, working in the library, raising the flags, etc. Students may sign up in the office to assist at C.E.S. and be role models for Columbus Elementary students.

Show Choir: Students in 4th and 5th grades are invited to sing with the C.E.S. Music teacher in the music room each morning, beginning in November. Students perform for a variety of community activities, including "Columbus' Lighting of the Square" and Live Oak Art Center's "Art Displays".

Accelerated Math Program: Students in grades 2 - 5 participate in this math enrichment program building math skills and earning special prizes.

Accelerated Reader Program: Students in grades K - 5 are involved in the Accelerated Reader Program, reading books and taking tests. They earn prizes and special treats as they accumulate points.
